The way it is

So I had a wife, beautiful, like you, who tells me I worry too much. Who tells me I ought to smile more. Who gambles and gets in deep with the sharks... Look at me! One day, they carve her face. And we have no money for surgeries. She can't take it. I just want to see her smile again, hm? I just want her to know that I don't care about the scars. So... I stick a razor in my mouth and do this...
[the Joker mimics slicing his mouth open with his tongue]
The Joker: ...to myself. And you know what? She can't stand the sight of me! She leaves. Now I see the funny side. Now I'm always smiling!

We're savage Creatures

Ollie: As a species we're fundamentally insane. Put more than two of us in a room, we pick sides and start dreaming up reasons to kill one another. Why do you think we invented politics and religion?

36 Crazyfists - Criminal Justice (Satchel Cover)

We got to come down, were going crazy.
Feeling so god damn unsatisfied.
Where is the justice, where is the jury.
When will we all be set free.
Its getting colder and I am not ready.
Ready to take on the world tonight.
The troubles are rollin' we should have known better.
Lord knows the pressure is on tonight.
To spin you around, round, round, round yeah.

When will the winter ever be over.
And when will my heart know the coast is clear.
So wait for my hands to clap when I'm ready.
Ready to get on, on with the fight.
And maybe its to much for you to take.
Maybe its to much your heart is breaking.
Maybe its OK if you cry, maybe its OK to know why.
Its all a disaster, its criminal justice, its deep rooted baby.
To spin you around, round, round, round yeah.

Crowd around, crowd around and tell them now.
Ain't about to tell you how, just get off your ass and run.
Run yeah just for fun and just remember to hold on tight.
And spin all around, round, round, round yeah.
Round, round, round, round, yeah.
Round, round, round, round, yeah.

The Joke

Rorschach: I heard a joke once: Man goes to doctor. Says he's depressed. Says life is harsh and cruel. Says he feels all alone in a threatening world. Doctor says, "Treatment is simple. The great clown Pagliacci is in town tonight. Go see him. That should pick you up." Man bursts into tears. Says, "But doctor... I am Pagliacci." Good joke. Everybody laugh. Roll on snare drum. Curtains.

City's True Face

"The city is afraid of me. I've Seen it's true face"

"Rorschach: None of you understand. I'm not locked up in here with you. You're locked up in here with me."

Can anybody see?

Can't anybody see? you've got a war to fight
never found our way, regardless of what they say

How can it feel this wrong?
from this moment, how can it feel this wrong?

Storm in the morning light, I feel
no more can I say, frozen to myself
I got nobody on my side and surely that ain't right
and surely that ain't right

La Resistance

god has smiled upon you this day

the fate of the nation in your hands

and blessed be the children we

who fight with all our bravery

till only the righteous stand

--------------

you see the distant flames

they bellow in the night

you fight in all our names

for what we know is right

but when you all get shot

and cannot carry on

though you die la resistance lives on

you may get stabbed in the head

with a dagger or a sword

you may be burned to death

or skinned alive or worse

but when they torture you

you will not feel the need to run

for though you die la resistance lives on

--------------

Blame Canada Blame Canada

because the countys gone ary

tommorrow night these freaks will fry!

--------------

tommorrow night our lives will change

tommorrow night we'll be entertained

an execution what a sight!

tommorrow night

--------------

up there there's so much room

where babies burp and flowers bloom

tommorrow night up there is doom

and so i will be going soon

--------------

shut your f**king face uncle f**ker

your a boner biting bastard uncle f**ker

looks like we may be outa luck

tommorrow night were pretty f**ked

--------------

why did our mothers start this war

what the f**k are they fighting for

when did this song become a marathon

--------------

(I want to be up there)

when Canada is dead and gone

there'll be no more Celine Dion!

--------------

Then they cut your d*ck in half

and serve it to a pig

and though it hurts you'll laugh

and dance a dickless jig

but thats the way it goes

in war you are shat upon

though you die la resistance lives ooooooooooonnnnnnnnnnn

Tyler Durden’s Top 5 Tips for Living

1. Don’t be a Mindless Consumer

We’re consumers. We are by-products of a lifestyle obsession. Murder, crime, poverty, these things don’t concern me. What concerns me are celebrity magazines, television with 500 channels, some guy’s name on my underwear. Rogaine, V i a g r a, Olestra.

The people I know who used to sit in the bathroom with p0rnography, now they sit in the bathroom with their IKEA furniture catalogue. You buy furniture. You tell yourself, this is the last sofa I will ever need in my life. Buy the sofa, then for a couple years you’re satisfied that no matter what goes wrong, at least you’ve got your sofa issue handled. Then the right set of dishes. Then the perfect bed. The drapes. The rug. Then you’re trapped in your lovely nest, and the things you used to own, now they own you.

You are not your job. You are not how much money you have in the bank.

You are not the car you drive.

Reject… the importance of material possessions.

2. Do Something Meaningful

This is your life and it’s ending one minute at a time.

Every word you read of this useless fine print is another second off your life. Don’t you have other things to do? Is your life so empty that you honestly can’t think of a better way to spend these moments?

What would you wish you’d done before you died? You have to know the answer to this question!

If you died right now, how would you feel about your life?

3. Think for Yourself

Or are you so impressed with authority that you give respect and credence to all that claim it? Do you read everything you’re supposed to read? Do you think every thing you’re supposed to think? Buy what you’re told to want?

4. Transcend Temporary, Unfulfilling Relationships

Single-serving sugar, single-serving cream, single pat of butter. The microwave Cordon Bleu hobby kit. Shampoo-conditioner combos, sample-packaged mouthwash, tiny bars of soap. The people I meet on each flight? They’re single-serving friends.

5. The Path to Enlightenment is Hard Work

I don’t wanna die without any scars.

Hitting bottom isn’t a weekend retreat. It’s not a… seminar.

Without pain, without sacrifice, we would have nothing.

And then, something happened. I let go. Lost in oblivion. Dark and silent and complete. I found freedom. Losing all hope was freedom.

It’s only after we’ve lost everything that we’re free to do anything.

Found some tobacco

[Nobody has put wounded William Blake in a canoe, and is about to push him out to sea
William Blake: Hello.
Nobody: I prepared your canoe with cedarboughs. It's time for you to leave now, William Blake. Time for you to go back where you came from.
William Blake: You mean Cleveland?
Nobody: Back to the place where all the spirits came from, and where all the spirits return. This world will no longer concern you.
William Blake: [shows Nobody a reel of tobacco] Found some tobacco.
Nobody: That tobacco is for your voyage... William Blake.
William Blake: Nobody... I don't smoke.
[pushes William Blake's canoe out. He waves and says goodbye to Blake in a different language

William Blake: [watches from the canoe as Cole Wilson sneaks up behind Nobody. The two shoot each other to death. As William drifts further out, he falls in a deep forever-lasting sleep

Thel : I never really loved you.
Charlie : I never stopped loving you...[Pulls out his Revolver]

Nothing Lasts

Benjamin Button: I was thinking how nothing lasts, and what a shame that is.
Daisy: Some things last.

--------------------------

Daisy: I promise you, I'll never lose myself to self-pity again.
Benjamin Button: [while the day begins] And I think, right there and then, she realized none of us is perfect forever

Read it

"Bus stops are far more interesting and useful places to have art than in museums. Graffiti has more chance of meaning something or changing stuff than anything indoors. Graffiti has been used to start revolutions, stop wars, and generally is the voice of people who aren't listened to. Graffiti is one of those few tools you have if you have almost nothing. And even if you don't come up with a picture to cure world poverty you can make somebody smile while they're having a piss."
